San Antonio Committee On Emergency Preparedness Seeks Community Input

SAN ANTONIO (March 9, 2021) — The City of San Antonio’s Committee on Emergency Preparedness is seeking input from the community as they study the preparedness and response to the recent winter weather event and make recommendations on future preparedness efforts.

As a starting point to this process, the City will review and categorize existing qualitative data collected from social media channels and calls for service to 911 and 311. Thousands of residents communicated their needs and opinions in real time during the actual event. Staff will categorize these calls and comments and present them to the Committee for a baseline understanding of public input at the time.

Comments and questions can be provided in English and Spanish. Residents may submit comments and/or questions through March 31.
