SAN ANTONIO (October 29, 2020) — City Council approved an ordinance to fund two initiatives – a homelessness services outreach application and a digital affordable housing portal – which stem from the City’s CivTechSA program in partnership with Geekdom. In response to this vote, Councilman Manny Pelaez issued the following statement:
“These CivTechSA initiatives will optimize our capacity to meet our organizational goals of mitigating displacement, fostering housing security, and bolstering our homelessness response network.

Above all, they demonstrate the importance of our Office of Innovation team, the dynamic startup and incubation programs they lead, and the culture of innovation and collaboration they are fostering in San Antonio.
