SAN ANTONIO (January 21, 2021) — Today in A Session, City Council voted to approve the 117th Federal Legislative Program in wake of the announcement by the U.S. Treasury that the City of San Antonio will receive $46 million for emergency rental assistance. In response to these developments, Councilman Pelaez issued the following statement:
“I am confident that the Federal Legislative Program we developed in my Intergovernmental Relations Committee effectively focuses our priorities of coronavirus response and recovery, small business relief, emergency preparedness and infrastructure modernization so the city can deliver results and put our tax dollars to work at home.

As long as this pandemic continues to overwhelm every corner of our community, the needs of our neighbors will not go away. So, we must double down on these advocacy efforts to ensure that renters, homeowners and small business owners have the resources they need to be resilient.”
