SAN ANTONIO (December 23, 2020) - District 2 supported small business by giving dozens of hot tamales to nine of District 2’s San Antonio Fire Department Stations. SAFD received Rubens Homemade tamales, a business that has been in service since 1948. It was opened by the parents of owner Rosalinda Perez located at 1807 Rigsby Ave, in District 2.

“During this holiday season we celebrate gratitude and giving in our community, I am grateful for the hard work and dedication of our SAFD first responders and cherished small businesses in our community,” stated Councilwoman Andrews-Sullivan. “In the midst of this pandemic it is important to support our community, I asked that everyone continue to support each other by giving. Have a safe, and happy holiday season, together we can make a difference”.
