“Throughout this pandemic, we have witnessed our community come together and provide support to our frontline workers. Our City’s COVID-19 response team has worked long rigorous hours and for that, we are grateful. They are an integral part of our local emergency response to the COVID-19 pandemic and their sacrifices have not gone unnoticed,” stated Councilwoman Viagran.

The Alamodome has been home to hundreds of case investigators, working to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Bexar County. Investigators and contract tracers collect information from individuals and take that information to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Many of these employees were furloughed near the start of the pandemic and were reassigned to perform this critical work as a part of our city’s local response efforts.
