San Antonio: District 3 Participates In Holiday Turkey Distribution At V.F.W. Post 4815

SAN ANTONIO— This weekend, District 3 participated in a Holiday Turkey Distribution at V.F.W. Post 4815 located on Commercial Avenue. Turkeys were given to 50 families in need for the holiday season. All participants followed COVID-19 safety protocols.

“This is the time for giving and helping our community. Collaboration like this is essential and I am thankful that we are Southside Strong,” stated Councilwoman Viagran. “So many families are in need of assistance right now and seeing our community pull together is very humbling. District 3 is grateful to have partnered with V.F.W. Post 4815, led by Commander Roger Gomez. We applaud their team for working to ensure families in our area are taken care of this Holiday season with a nutritious meal to eat.”

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces.
