“Our Council office is honored to be able to support our elementary school students in District 6. With so much uncertainty due to the current pandemic, we hope that donating these items to our students and their parents gives them one less thing to worry about and comfort in knowing that their city council district is here to help them.”

Each backpack was filled with supplies used most by elementary students, such as crayons, markers, rulers, binders, erasers, pencils and other supplies.

“As the fastest growing council district in the city, it’s important to me that the children who will one day be our future leaders start off their education with the right tools. We are grateful for the opportunity to help our children and it is one of my favorite parts of representing beautiful District 6. I wish we could have seen each other at the big backpack bash we would normally have, but also happy that students will have what they need. Our team can’t wait to see all these kids will accomplish!”
