“This flu season, getting your flu shot isn’t just about keeping yourself safe—it’s about keeping your family safe, too. Less flu in the community means fewer people in our hospitals. Our hospitals need to be prepared for a possible winter wave of COVID-19,” said Councilwoman Ana Sandoval. “I’m grateful to the students of Frontera de Salud and Metro Health for making this event possible.”
“This year we know that the flu and COVID 19 will be co-circulating in our community this upcoming season. We need to work together to maximize the prevention of co-infections. We want the public to know that getting the flu vaccine is more important than ever this season.” said Dr. Anita K Kurian, Assistant Director of Metro Health.
