San Antonio Is About to Get a Whole Lot Cooler - Popsicle Dash Arrives July 12!

Get ready for a sweet summer tradition at the annual Popsicle Dash San Antonio, hosted by Lonestar Running Company (LRC) on Sunday, July 12! Located at Mission County Park (6030 Padre Drive), this 5K/10K event kicks off at 7:30 a.m., followed by an awards ceremony at 8:45 a.m., and a Kids/Family 1K at 9:15 a.m. Grab your family and friends and join the fun – this refreshing walk/run is packed with cool treats and great memories!

But the Popsicle Dash is about more than icy treats and finish-line photos - it’s also an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. This year’s event proudly supports three nonprofit organizations dedicated to improving lives and strengthening communities. Ainsley's Angels creates inclusive racing opportunities for individuals with disabilities, while Asher House rescues displaced animals and helps them find loving homes. LifeGift Organ Donation saves and enhances lives through organ, eye and tissue donation services across North and West Texas. Together, these organizations help ensure that every mile run supports a greater cause.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Popsicle Dash to San Antonio and continue a summer tradition that brings the community together,” said Randi Schooley, co-founder of LRC. “This event is more than just crossing a finish line - it’s about creating connections, making memories and strengthening our community one step at a time.”

The Popsicle Dash is the second event in Lonestar Running Company’s three-part Summer Dash Series, following the Lemonade Dash which was held on June 7, and leading into the season finale, the Watermelon Dash, on August 9.

Medals will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, top three Masters (40+) male and female, and first place age group winners, which will be awarded between 9 - 9:30 a.m. on race day.
