The new bells, forming the St. Joseph’s Catholic church peal, were rung for the first time this morning.
1958
The newest and biggest addition to the San Antonio Public Library’s fleet of four bookmobiles went into service today. The green and cream bookmobile, complete with a stork emblem indicating its new arrival, went into service at the Sunset Ridge Shopping Center.

The Mayor’s Stadium Selection Site Committee presents its recommendation for the location of a domed stadium at a joint meeting of the city council and the VIA Metropolitan Transit Board of Trustees in the Fiesta Room of the San Antonio Convention Center.
