Mindy Kim is nine years old and in fourth grade. Her family might be small with just her and her dad, but they can do anything other families can do. Even win a trivia contest at her school's Family Trivia Night. They have to try at least because the prize is free pizza for a year!

But Mindy's dad is a little nervous about the trivia contest. He was born in Korea and does not know answers to pop culture and history questions. That's okay with Mindy. She knows that is she studies hard enough they can still win together.

At least Mindy thinks they can until her teacher hosts a pretend trivia contest in class one day and her team loses. Does this mean Mindy might lose the big trivia contest with her dad? Is winning all that matters? Find out in Mindy Kim and the Big Pizza Challenge by Lyla Lee.
