All the clocks in the city are to be turned back tonight for the end of Daylight Savings Time at 2 a.m. Unless another daylight saving law is passed by a later Congress, this will be the last time you will have to meddle with time. Congress recently repealed its daylight saving act.

1939
The River Beautification Project, with Robert Hugman as architect, breaks ground. This project creates the San Antonio Riverwalk as we know it today.

1996
The Regal Fiesta 16 theater at DeZavala & IH-10 holds its grand opening, despite having only 10 completed screens. The theater will close permanently on Feb. 10, 2021.
