Manager Sidney Weis of the Grand Opera House received a telegram this morning stating that the road tour of the all-star cast presenting “Out There” has been abandoned for the present time on account of the prevalence of Spanish influenza in Texas cities. “Out There” was billed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday appearances at the Grand.
1986
The 5,400-square-foot mural painted on the façade of the Arena, entitled “Victory and Triumph,” was dedicated.

1991
The $1.3 million Regional Neurosciences Center at Santa Rosa Hospital holds its grand opening. This is the first neurology-neurosciences center for children in South Texas.
