  1. If you're interested in starting your own business this year, plan on attending this month's San Antonio Small Business Administration (SBA) webinars.   2. The Marriott San Antonio Airport hotel, located at 77 NE Interstate 410 Loop, is scheduled to open in February, but they will be holding two free in-person job fairs this week to fill jobs in "food and beverage, front desk, housekeeping/room attendant, shuttle driver, and maintenance." The first event is Wednesday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m.-noon at Workforce Solutions Alamo Career Center-Datapoint, located at 3652 Bluemel Road.   3. From Friday, Jan. 14 to Friday, Jan. 28, San Antonio's master chef Steve McHugh "will jazz up the menu" at his restaurant Landrace, "transforming it from a Lone Star-focused bill of fare to one emphasizing authentic New Orleans cuisine." The menu will feature New Orleans classics such as "Trout Pontchartrain with wild mushrooms, crabmeat, hollandaise, and pecan rice; Boudin balls with gribiche and bread-and-butter pickles; and seafood gumbo with popcorn rice."   4. "Lauded San Antonio chef, Andrew Weissman, has stepped down as executive chef of Signature at La Cantera Resort & Spa" and is "handing the reins over" to Chef John Carpenter, who is from San Antonio. The 70-seat eatery, which originally opened in 2016, will continue featuring "French classics with a Texas flair" but there will be some new "surprise" items on the menu. Weissman is now focusing "on a more casual enterprise, the burger joint Mr. Juicy," and "is working on 'exciting' potential projects for 2022." Read more at: (San Antonio Current)
