Here are the top stories today in San Antonio:
- The search continues for missing 3-year-old Lina Sardar Khil, who was last seen on Monday, Dec. 20 between 4-5 p.m. at a park on the 9400 block of Fredericksburg Road, near the Villa Del Cabo apartment complex. The girl has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a red dress, black shoes and a black jacket. "Agent Justin Garris of the FBI's Justin San Antonio field office said, "the FBI has utilized its child abduction rapid deployment team, behavioral analysis unit, intelligence response teams and forensic examiners" in the search. However, according to Police Chief William McManus, the case is still being investigated "as a missing person unless evidence would lead us to believe otherwise." Anyone with information on the case is being asked to call the San Antonio Police Department Missing Person's Unit at 210-207-7660. (ABC News)

- Thanks to San Antonio nonprofit Christian Assistance Ministry (CAM), a father and son have been reunited! Mike McLoughlin has been looking for his 40-year-old son, James McLoughlin, for 3 years. He said, "James started out like any other child... He was a good kid until he got into some trouble in high school. Things progressed from there. He was a challenge as a young man." In 2021, he posted on Facebook that he was searching for his son, and a friend read it and reposted it on his newsfeed. Dawn White-Fosdick, president of CAM, happened to see the post and shared it with her staff, who immediately recognized him. White-Fosdick said, "He comes to our place to get food and clothing. He takes his showers. He is a regular." The father and son met in person during Thanksgiving and now they communicate, mostly by mail. Although James prefers to remain homeless, he is well taken care of at CAM, and his father is there whenever he decides to come home once again.
