Suspected Home Invader Who Brought 7-Year-Old Along Shot Dead By San Antonio Homeowner
A woman in her home, startled by noise as the man is said to have attempted to break in, grabbed her gun and shot suspect twice.

SAN ANTONIO, TX — An alleged home invader who brought along his 7-year-old along during the break-in attempt on Friday was shot dead by the homeowner, according a reports.
Officers responded to the shooting at around 1:40 p.m. along the 6300 block of Aspen Farm where the suspect was found suffering from a gunshot wound, according to mysa.com. The suspect's son was detained by police upon their arrival, the website reported.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said the suspect is a man in his 30s who he said was shot as he tried breaking into the home through a front window while the homeowner slept. The break-in startled the homeowner, described as a woman in her 30s, who retrieved her firearm and shot at the suspect twice, according to police.

The suspect was rushed to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he later died. The homeowner faces no charges, although the incident is still under investigation.
As for the child forced to tag along with his father only to see him being shot: "We're gonna get help for him," McManus said.
