Good morning, San Antonio! Let's get you all caught up to start this day off on an informed note. Here's everything you need to know about what's happening today in San Antonio.

Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:
- Celebrate National Taco Day on Monday, Oct. 4 by picking up tacos from Taco Cabana! The popular Tex-Mex chain will be offering bean and cheese, shredded chicken and ground beef tacos for $1 each! Better yet, there is no limit on how many tacos you can get, so you can enjoy tacos all day long! So head on out to Taco Cabana and pick up a dozen or two of each, and have a happy Taco Day! - Mosey on down to Travis Park at 301 E. Travis St. on Saturday, Oct. 2 to listen to some good old country tunes! The 'Texas 2 Event' will be held from 4 - 10 p.m. and will feature "Texas country crooner Wynn Williams, Americana musician Bonn E. Maiy, and San Antonio classic country tribute band The 501s." The free event "sponsored by Miller Lite, City of San Antonio, Centro San Antonio, and San Antonio Parks Foundation is a fundraiser for Travis Park to support free outdoor programming." Besides good country music, food will also be available for purchase, but coolers will not be allowed. Put on your country hats and boots, gather the family, and have a boot scootin' good time! - Good news for bicyclists! San Antonio's newest trail will be opening on Friday, Oct. 1. The 2-mile paved trail "will connect Eisenhower Park to the Rim, allowing two major greenways — Leon Creek and Salado Creek — to come together." According to the Parks and Recreation Department, cyclists will have a chance to complete about 40 miles total, due to the two linking greenways. So grab your bikes, put on your helmets, and get ready to ride the trail!(mySanAntonio.com)
- If you're loco for fideo, plan to attend the 4th annual Fideo Loco Festival on Nov. 6 from noon-4 p.m., at 2502 Pleasanton Road on the South Side. Visitors will be able "to try fideo loco dishes from locals and restaurants across the city" and will have a chance to vote for their favorite. Tickets per person are $15 online or $20 at the door and include unlimited samples, a token to vote for your favorite, access to local market vendors and music and all-day bar. Kids 12 and under are free, but will not be able to sample. Parking will be available, but will be first-come, first-served. Be there, rain or shine, and have a loco good time! (KSAT San Antonio)
- The wait is over for all you book lovers! The BookCellar Used Book Store is reopening at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1. The store, located in the basement of the Central Library at 600 Soledad has been closed since March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now be open weekly on Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. "John Costello, president of the Friends of the San Antonio Public Library, said 'We are thrilled and happy to be back in operation at the BookCellar. This is a key component in our efforts to raise funds to support the library. Everyone is invited to come out and shop.'" (nowcastsa.com)
