🌱 Traders Village Gives $2,000 To Ronald McDonald House + SA Art

Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:
- On Saturday, Feb. 19, Traders Village presented Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio with a check for $2,000. The funds were raised during last year's "Country Christmas" pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Brian A. Billeck, Traders Village marketing manager said, "We are very excited to have raised this money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Antonio." He added, "The RMHS provides a safe and caring home away from home for families of children receiving essential medical services in San Antonio, Texas." For more details visit: (FOX 29)
- The Mardi Gras fun begins in San Antonio on Friday, Feb. 25 with an artisan show along the San Antonio Riverwalk, which goes on until Sunday, Feb. 27. It continues with a Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday, Feb. 26 from 4-6 p.m. at the San Antonio River Walk! Then on Tuesday, March 1, several bars and restaurants in town will be offering "Fat Tuesday" Cajun dishes on their menus, along with live music and drink specials. In addition, Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas are having Mardi Gras festivals and celebrations every weekend until the end of this month. - The Blue Star Contemporary currently has two art exhibitions on display at their art center, located at 116 Blue Star. "The 'Black Art Library' features artist memoirs, art history texts, and children's books focused on black artists and black art history" and is on display now until Sunday, March 27. "Threads Bare," by artist Luis Valderas "looks at how art and fashion collide through textiles" and can be seen now until Sunday, May 8. There will also be "an open call for artists who want to display their work" and they can apply by Tuesday, March 1.
