Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:
- Celebrate the holidays with free family-friendly events at Travis Park, located at 301 E. Travis St.! From now until Jan. 10, 2022, a beautiful 50-foot tree donated by HEB will be "adorned with more than 10,000 lights and custom-made ornaments" and 250,000 lights will be decorated across the park, courtesy of Centro San Antonio. - The holidays and tamales go hand in hand in San Antonio, and although tamales "can be technically enjoyed year-round," they are "as synonymous with the holiday season as the plastic Nativity scenes — complete with a swaddled baby Jesus — sprawling across your neighbors front lawn." - A second Künstler Brewing Co. location will be opening in Summer 2022 in San Antonio. The brewpub owned by veteran Brent Deckard and wife, Vera, will occupy the historic Pereida House in downtown's Hemisfair Park. The venue "will feature a menu with signature beers and bratwurst, appetizers and to-go foods near Hemisfair's Yanaguana Garden." The couple have enjoyed visiting Hemisfair Park and surrounding businesses but now, Vera Deckard said, "We are beyond excited and humbled to join the Hemisfair family." (Community Impact Newspaper)
