Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:

  1. On Monday, Feb. 14, the Gonzaba Medical Group will be hosting a drive-thru Valentine's Day event for senior citizens from 10 a.m.-noon at the PICA PICA Plaza, located at 910 S.E. Military Drive. Dr. Julian Falla and Dr. Zahir Osuna will be giving carnations and blankets to seniors, while supplies last. Happy Valentine's Day to all! (WOAI)
  2. The Northside Independent School District (NISD) — the largest school district in San Antonio — will officially be lifting its mask mandate for all students and staff members on Monday, Feb. 14. Instead, the district will go back to "strongly encouraging" the use of masks, as opposed to requiring them. "In a letter to families and staff, NISD said it based the lifting of the mandate on improving metrics in San Antonio, Bexar County and in schools." However, "the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendation that students, faculty and staff wear masks in schools remains in place for now." 3. Super Bowl Sunday is here, and if you're looking for places to enjoy it, there are many restaurants and bars in San Antonio for sports fans to watch it together this year. "From fried chicken to free pizza, these local spots are serving up the kind of grub that won't fumble the big game this Sunday." Gather the family and friends and head on out to one of those venues on Sunday, Feb. 13, for a fun Super Bowl Sunday!
