Here are the top stories in San Antonio today:
- More than 60 San Antonio restaurants will participate in winter Restaurant Weeks deals from Jan. 15-29. During the 2-week event, the eateries will offer specially priced three-course prix-fixe lunch and dinner menus and some will include additional course options with wine, cocktail and beer pairings. Menus range from $20-$30 for lunch and $35-$55 for dinner. "Part of the ticket for each meal goes back to Culinaria to fund its mission of promoting San Antonio as a culinary destination." - KSAT 12 is hosting a tamale showdown of 12 local tamale locations that they compiled, and they are asking viewers to vote for their favorite tamale spot in San Antonio. "The top six vote-getters will move onto the second round, and the third and final round will feature the top three tamale locations!" - Art-pop band Buttercup performed at San Antonio's Pearl development on Thursday, Dec. 9. "The long-running San Antonio act focused on creating an intimate experience" outdoors as "fans spread out on blankets to watch and listen" to them perform.
