- As you celebrate with your dad on Father's Day this Sunday, June 19, why not take a moment to listen to what that special man has "to say about being a father" and any advice that he may have? Listen to some local fathers share their thoughts on those topics at: (KENS5.com)
- Now that school summer break is here, there are several job opportunities for young San Antonians who are looking for seasonal jobs. They can find out all about them on Tuesday, June 21 at JobFest 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at the AT&T Center, located at 1 AT&T Center Parkway.
"Companies will be hiring for full-time and part-time positions as well as offering internships." They will also give "free resume tips and no-cost headshots." For more details and for a list of participating employers, please visit: (KSAT San Antonio) - UTSA alumna Kimberly Anderson is making "a meaningful difference in the way San Antonio provides health care services to a particular population." As "wellness director for Endeavors, which provides high-quality care to all veterans and their families regardless of discharge status," she is "helping to build a unique service model for veterans." In addition, she offers UTSA students an opportunity to work on "internships and full-time jobs."
For more on this story visit: (UTSA) - According to 50 Top Pizza Italian rating guide, Southtown's Il Forno located at 122 Nogalitos St. is "one of the best pizzerias in the United States," with a ranking of No. 32 on the list. The venue is "known for its cozy digs, local ingredients and the bubbly pies from its handcrafted oven." 50 Top Pizza guide representatives said, "The wood-fired oven is used for baking the pizzas, and great care is taken in the choice of the raw ingredients, which are all local, even the mozzarella and the ricotta. The homemade cold cuts are full of genuine flavor, it is really worth your while." (San Antonio Current)
- Something new is brewing in the near future on the west side of San Antonio! Another Dutch Bros. Coffee location will be opening at 14320 Potranco Road sometime in March 2023. Once open, it will feature "walk-up and drive-thru windows with stacked drive thru lanes" to place your orders, but as with all other Dutch Bros. locations, they will not offer dine-in service.
