🌱 Yelp's Top 20 Brunch SA Spots + 'Gear Up Against Kids Cancer'

  1. Yelp's top 20 brunch spots in San Antonio, now available on their website, were identified by the online review site based on "a large concentration of reviews mentioning 'brunch.' They were then "ranked based on factors" like "the total volume and ratings of reviews mentioning 'brunch.'" The first one on the list was Comfort Care at Los Patios, with La Panadería and Tony G's Soul Food following right behind.   2. Greehey Children's Cancer Research Institute at UT Health San Antonio is hosting the "Gear Up Against Kids Cancer" event on Saturday, April 2. All cyclists are invited to participate in the bike ride, which will begin at 8 a.m. at the Floresville Event Center, located at 600 SH 97 West.
    "Riders will begin and end the race there and will have the option to take the 28-mile or 38-mile route while riding through the scenic roads of Wilson County, Texas." Proceeds of the event will help fund research and "treatments for children with cancer, especially cases that are riskier but have a high potential for a high impact." Dr. Gregory Aune, event spokesperson and a pediatric cancer survivor, said "his experiences pursued him to a career in pediatric oncology" and "his goal is to develop less toxic chemotherapy regimens."   3. This coming summer, construction of "a waterfront hotel and conference center in the Hill Country town of Marble Falls" is set to begin. "The $36 million project will feature an upscale 123-room Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotel and more than 14,000 square feet of meeting and event space, including a main ballroom and junior ballroom" and "a rooftop venue measuring about 4,000 square feet."
