Alleged Drunk Driver Seriously Injures Construction Worker
The driver is said to have driven past construction cones in his BMW.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX - A man has been charged with intoxication assault after he allegedly drove drunk through a construction site and injured a worker.
Carlos Garcia, 35. drove his BMW past traffic cones on Dec. 30 around 5:29 p.m at the 600 block of Cardinal Lane, police said.
He reportedly hit a construction worker, who was seriously injured and transported to Brackenridge hospital.

Police said they believed Garcia was drunk because of his slurred speech and a strong odor of alcohol. They also reported Garcia was uncooperative and refused to tell police whether or not he had been drinking.
