South Austin Blood Donors Eligible For Holiday Gifts For Giving

AUSTIN, TX — Area blood donors giving the gift of life starting Dec. 11 will be entered to win a special gift — including a hotel stay, dinner and weekend getaway to San Antonio — officials said.

We Are Blood announced its "12 Days of Giving," initiative, a special holiday giveaway during which anyone donating or even attempts to donate at any blood bank location or mobile drive between Dec. 11 and 22 will be entered to win a unique gift daily. Every day’s prize will be a fun surprise and includes items like a getaway to San Antonio, gift cards to Austin’s favorite restaurants, unique city experiences, and more, officials said.

We Are Blood operates a blood donation site at 3100 W. Slaughter Lane in South Austin among its other facilities.

"The goal is to encourage Austinites and Central Texans to give back to their community during the holiday season by rolling up their sleeves," officials said. "In an effort to say ‘thank you’ with a twist of Holiday spirit, We Are Blood will give donors an opportunity to win a special gift every day during the 12 days."

Each day’s prize will be announced on We Are Blood’s social media channels. The community is encouraged to follow We Are Blood on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to stay up to date on each day’s giveaway.

● Café No Sé dinner for 2 ($100 gift card)
● Weekend Getaway to San Antonio:

But wait, there's more: In keeping with the holiday spirit, anyone donating by New Year’s Eve will be given a voucher for a free pint of Amy’s Ice Cream.
