Austin Firefighters Extinguish Structure Fire In South Austin
The fire along the 1600 block of South Pleasant Valley Road was quickly extinguished by firefighters, and no injuries were reported.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Firefighters extinguished a fire that consumed an abandoned building in South Austin Saturday evening.
The fire at 1600 S. Pleasant Valley Rd. was quickly extinguished in about 20 minutes' time right before 9 p.m., according to firefighters. Officials posted photos of the fire on their Twitter account, showing a raging blaze that belied the quick nature of the firefighters' efforts in extinguishing it.
No injuries were reported as the building was empty at the time of the fire. The conflagration was centered primarily in the building's exterior and roof, according to firefighters.
