Austin Police: Driver Killed After Crashing Into Utility Pole
The collision occurred just past midnight in South Austin and police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- Early Wednesday, a driver was killed on West Cesar Chavez Street near Lamar Boulevard after colliding with a utility pole, police said.
A passenger was transported to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Police were called to the site at the 1100 block of Cesar Chavez just after midnight, the Austin American-Statesman reported. Street lanes were closed off during the police investigation, and have since been reopened.
