AUSTIN, TX — Transportation officials invite the public to hear what's being done to minimize construction-related impacts as they prepare to start improvements along Loop 1 (MoPac), during an open house scheduled this Friday.

Texas Department of Transportation officials are poised to begin work along the key artery between Slaughter Lane and La Cross Avenue in mid-January. The planned improvements are aimed to enhance safety and mobility in a fast-growing part of Austin, officials said.

To ensure residents learn TxDot's plans to minimize construction-related impacts to drivers and nearby businesses, officials have scheduled a "Meet the Contractor" open house.
