Bullet Grazes Child's Neck Outside South Austin Restaurant
Noontime incident on Saturday outside Torchy's restaurant on William Cannon Drive results in minor injuries for 9-year-old victim.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police are investigating an incident outside a South Austin restaurant during which a bullet is said to have grazed a child's neck.
The incident occurred outside the Torchy's restaurant at 4301 W. William Cannon Dr., according a report in the Austin American-Statesman. Austin-Travis County EMS medics told the newspaper they got a call about the incident at around noon on Saturday. The 9-year-old child was transported to Dell Children's Medical Center for minor injuries, according to the report.
KVUE interviewed the young victim, who said the impact of the passing bullet at first felt like a sting before giving way to pain. He and his parents heard the noise of the passing bullet, which they described as emitting a whistling sound.
