Burglary Suspect Identified: Allegedly Stole Valuables and a Chicago Bulls Hat
The suspect is accused of stealing property from two private residences.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX - The Austin Police Department has identified a woman suspected of stealing money, electronics, and a Chicago Bulls hat from a South Austin home in October.
Police responded to a burglary call on William Cannon Drive on Oct. 7., in December a police officer returned to the block to interview the resident of the home, KVUE reported. The resident pointed the officer’s attention to Tamara Martinez, who knew a mutual friend of the resident’s that lives in the same apartment complex.
According to the resident, the mutual friend said Martinez needed to use her phone, so she let the suspect into her apartment. When the resident woke up from a nap she escorted Martinez out of her apartment unit.

The resident noticed a Sony PS3 console, a Phillips 42-inch TV, a Chicago Bulls hat, a blanket and $900 in cash were missing from her apartment. When she called her friend who knew Martinez, the friend said she was also missing a T.V, KVUE reported.
A maintenance worker for the building told the resident he saw a woman loading things into a black Chevy Avalanche, When shown a Facebook photo of Martinez, the witness confirmed that was the woman he had seen.

If caught, Martinez will face a burglary of habitation charge, a second degree felony.
