Call For Volunteers To Beautify Williamson Creek
Keep Austin Beautiful hopes to recruit residents the day after Christmas.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- Looking for a way of exercising your sense of holiday goodwill the day after Christmas? Consider volunteering to help beautify Williamson Creek.
Keep Austin Beautiful is recruiting volunteers to help with light trail maintenance, native grass seeding, native tree planting, woody invasive management and litter abatement along Williamson Creek in south Austin.
In addition, volunteers also are needed to maintain the grow zone area managed by the city’s Watershed Protection Department.

Organizers ask would-be volunteers to dress accordingly for the type of work described, and asks they bring their own water. Children 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Volunteers will gather at 607/701 Battle Bend Blvd. on Dec. 26. Their work is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
