SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- The lull of a Friday afternoon with workers anticipating the weekend was shattered Friday afternoon after a car crashed through the storefront of a Southwest Austin insurance business.

The incident occurred at a strip mall in the 5800 block of West Slaughter Lane shortly after 2 p.m. when the car slammed into State Farm insurance office there, the Austin American-Statesman reported. The site is part of the Circle C Ranch master planned community.

Police didn't immediately release details as to the culprit, but one bystander who posted a photo of the aftermath of the crash said two teen boys were in the car at the time. The driver subsequently was charged with driving while intoxicated, the Statesman reported.
