Location: 13000 Block of N. Lamar

Deceased: Michael Deon Fields, Black Male, born October 21, 1982

The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified Michael Deon Fields as the deceased in the July 16 fatality crash in the 13000 Block of N. Lamar Blvd.

At 10:53 p.m., APD was notified of a collision that had occurred between a white BMW and a Suzuki motorcycle in the 13000 Block of N. Lamar. The motorcycle collided with the back right side of the BMW. Mr. Fields succumbed to his injuries, and he was pronounced deceased at 1:43 a.m. on July 17, 2021.

This is Austin’s 63rd fatal traffic crash of 2021, resulting in 68 fatalities for the year. On the date of this crash in 2020, there were 43 fatal crashes resulting in 46 fatalities.
