Deceased: Unidentified White female, approximately 70-years-old

On October 1, 2021, at approximately 8:55 p.m., Austin Police Department officers responded to the vicinity of E. Riverside Dr. and Frontier Valley Dr. The initial investigation shows a Chevrolet Spark was traveling westbound in the 7000 block of E. Riverside Dr., and struck a pedestrian who was crossing E. Riverside Dr. Despite life-saving attempts by emergency personnel, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene at 9:18 p.m.

The driver of the Chevrolet remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
