The following numbers are from the Impaired Driving Mobility (IDM) DWI Enforcement Period conducted from August 20 thru September 6, 2021. During the enforcement period, there were 77 DWI related arrests made: Of those arrests, the following number had enhanced DWI Charges Breath Samples Over .15: 11

Class A Misd DWI (With prior convictions): 9

Child Passenger: 1

Felony DWI (2 or more prior convictions) : 4

The Austin Police Department (APD), City of Austin Transportation Department (ATD) and Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) are continuously focused on preventing lives from being lost on the streets, highways and waterways of Austin. APD dedicated to making the roadways and waterways of Austin safe for residents and visitors through education and enforcement. This enforcement period is provided through an Impaired Driving Mobilization grant from TXDOT.
