Elderly Woman Rescued After 25-Foot Fall Into Creek Bed
Victim in her 80s sustained serious, but not life threatening, injuries.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- An elderly woman had to be rescued by emergency personnel Saturday afternoon after falling off a path into a creek bed some 25 feet below.
The woman in her 80s was badly injured in the 1300 block of Philco Drive, Austin-Travis County EMS officials said. However, they added that the injuries are not life-threatening.
The incident occurred at about 2:37 p.m. Saturday.
The woman was transported to St. David’s South Austin Hospital where she is currently recovering, EMS officials said.
