Emergency Crews Rush To South Austin After 'House Exploded'
Medics extracted two victims critically burned in house explosion along 6500 block of Stoneleigh Avenue Friday afternoon.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — Emergency crews rushed to South Austin early Saturday afternoon where a "house exploded," according to medics.
The incident occurred along the 6500 block of Stonleigh Place at around 1:30 p.m., Austin-Travis County EMS medics said via Twitter. "Initial reports are that a 'house exploded,' " medics described on Twitter. Two victims were extracted from the residence, but their medical condition was not specified.
The victims, a man in his 50s and a woman in her 40s, were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center for treatment of critical burns, medics said. The victims' injuries, though deemed serious, were not expected to be life-threatening.

It's unclear what caused the house to explode. No further details were available.
