SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- The Travis County Fire Marshall's Office on Wednesday ruled a house fire that took place two days before on Slaughter Creek Road was the result of arson.
On Oct. 24 at about 3 p.m., firefighters responded to an unincorporated part of Travis County at 10107 Slaughter Creek Road for a report of a fire. An adult male resident of the home suffered major burns as a result of the blaze and died the next day at the San Antonio Medical Center, officials said.
The home was a single-family, two-story, wood-frame house of about 1,500 square feet in size. By the time firefighters arrived, the structure was fully involved with flames visible in the front room of the structure.
