Firefighter Injured In South Austin Fire
Firefighter suffered a cut to his head while battling shed fire but was reported to be in good condition.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A firefighter suffered a cut to the head while battling a South Austin fire early Saturday morning but was reported to be in good condition after medical treatment.
The Austin Fire Department responded to an electrical fire at 8309 Cedar Elm Trail at around 6 a.m. Saturday that began in a shed behind a single-family home, according to fire officials. One of the firefighters was rushed to the hospital after sustaining a cut to the head, officials said. He was later reported to be in good condition, and no other injuries were reported.
As for the shed: It was a complete loss after being consumed by the fire. The structural damages were placed at an estimated $3,000 while the home sustained some minor damage, fire officials said.
