Firefighters Battle South Austin Blaze

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A residential fire broke out in a South Austin neighborhood near Zilker Park on Wednesday night.

Firefighting crews received an emergency call alerting them to the blaze at around 9:45 p.m. at 1501 Rabb Rd. Arriving firefighters could see heavy fire emanating from the attic of the single-family home located just south of Zilker Park, officials said via Twitter.

Fortunately, the home was unoccupied as it was undergoing remodeling. As a result, fire officials said, no injuries were reported.
