Firefighters Battle South Austin Brush Fire
Humid and dry conditions with higher-than-normal winds of the past couple of days havve set the stage for brush fires to break out.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Firefighters battled a brush fire that consumed a quarter of an acre in South Austin on Sunday afternoon.
The conflagration broke out near Southwest Parkway and Mission Oaks Boulevard, according to fire officials. Conditions have been dry with humidity low across the region, conditions for brush fires exacerbated with high winds. Travis County has been under a burn ban as a result.
Conditions continue to be dry and humidities are low all across Texas. Central Texas Fire crews battled several fires yesterday and one working one now. Travis county remains under a burn ban.
