Firefighters Extinguish Abandoned Home Fire Near Austin Airport
Fire crews were alerted to the fire at 1329 Dalton Lane, near Texas 71 and U.S. 183 in the southeast part of the city early Saturday.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TEXAS — Firefighters put out a fire that engulfed an abandoned home in South Austin near the airport on Saturday.
Fire crews were alerted to the fire at 1329 Dalton Lane, near Texas 71 and U.S. 183 in the southeast part of the city, at just past 1:20 a.m. The site is not far from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The fire was quickly extinguished, fire officials said via Twitter, but the home was badly damaged.
It's unclear what may have sparked the conflagration.
