Largest 'Dog Jog' Ever Scheduled At Austin Golf Club
Benefit for Austin Pets Alive on Sunday will include celebrity canines Samson the Golden Doodle, Pooch of NYC and Little Freddy Tinkles.

NORTH AUSTIN, TX — The Lions Municipal Golf Course is going to the dogs in spectacular fashion. Come Sunday, some 500 canines will descend on the place for the largest DOG JOG Austin has ever seen.
Hosted by Austin-based Outdoor Voices, the run/jog/walk benefits Austin Pets Alive, a no-kill shelter. Along with the canine participants lucky enough to have owners, there will also be dogs in need of adoption that human participants can take on a furry test drive of sorts in running or walking with them.
Organizers say celebrity canines also will be on hand, including Samson The Golden Doodle, Pooch of NYC, and Little Freddie Tinkles. While you might not know them, they're apparently very big in the canine community where they have a loyal fan following.
