Learn More About FM 2304 Widening Project At Upcoming Open House
Commonly known as Manchaca Road, the artery will undergo considerable revamping from Ravenscroft Drive to FM 1626.

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Department of Transportation officials have scheduled an open house for residents to learn more about the proposed widening of FM 2304 (Manchaca Road) from Ravenscroft Drive to FM 1626 in southern Travis County.
The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Manchaca Elementary School, 12120 Manchaca Rd.
The road widening project aims to improve mobility and connectivity and provide additional roadway capacity to meet future traffic demands due to population growth. The proposed project would:

• Extend Manchaca Road for 1.14 miles between Ravenscroft Drive and FM 1626;
• Widen Manchaca Road from two to four travel lanes (two in each direction) with a center-turn lane;

• Construct six-foot bicycle lanes and sidewalks;
• Provide drainage improvements;
• Utilize existing right-of-way width.
The open house will allow citizens the opportunity to review and comment on the proposed widening project, state department officials said. Displays will be available for review, and staff will be present to answer questions. Officials added that no formal presentation will be given, and attendees are invited to come and go at their convenience.
