Man Arrested After South Austin Standoff
Police sent in a robotic device to breach the door where the suspect was holed in, ending the standoff after about three hours.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A man was arrested Saturday evening after a standoff with police following a domestic disturbance call, police said.
The incident at the TRIO Apartments in the 2300 block of South Pleasant Valley Road near Pleasant Valley Drive between East Riverside Drive and Oltorf Street started at around 7 p.m. at the southeast Austin complex, police described in a subsequent press conference. Upon arrival of police, the suspect refused to exit the apartment, prompting police to breach the door through the use of a robotic device.
Although the man reportedly had a weapon, he was arrested some three hours later without incident, according to police. No injuries were reported.
