Arrest Made In Fatal Shooting Outside South Austin Apartment Complex [UPDATE]
Fischer Hoisington and Aaron P. Moore were celebrating their Dec. 12 birthdays when the former fired the loaded gun they were handling.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police on Monday announced an arrest of a suspect in a South Austin shooting occurring early Sunday morning that left another man dead.
The shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. on Sunday outside an apartment complex at 501 E. Stassney Lane, police said. Once police arrived at the scene, police found a white male suffering from gunshot wounds who died shortly after their arrival.
Police have since arrested Fischer Hoisington, 24, and charged him with the second degree charge of manslaughter. Bond information was unavailable. The name of the deceased was also released: Aaron P. Moore, who had turned 24 the same day as his death, according to data provided by Austin police.

Police provided a narrative of events that led to the shooting, based on their investigation. The two men actually were celebrating their mutual birthdays on the night turned violent. During their celebration, the two handled a loaded firearm that believed to Moore.
At one point during this interaction, Hoisington is said to have held the firearm aloft, firing it in Moore's direction. Moore was struck in the chest. Police attempted to revive Moore performing CPR, but the young man succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Police continue to investigate a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday at a South Austin apartment complex.
The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of Monday at 501 E. Stassney Lane, police said. During a news briefing at 5 a.m. on Monday, a police spokesman said officers were called to the scene at around 1 a.m. Once there, they found a white male suffering from gunshot wounds who died shortly after their arrival.
During the briefing, a police officer said the men were acquaintances, but a motive for the shooting was not disclosed. Given the scenario, the officer noted the encounter was an isolated incident and the public at large was not in danger.
A suspect is reportedly in custody, although police didn't identify the person in custody. The name of the victim also hasn't been released. It's also unclear if either person lived at the apartment complex where the outdoor shooting occurred.
