Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash In Southeast Austin

Emergency crews called to 4400 block of East William Cannon Drive just before 4 p.m., where a man was dead at the scene.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — A man in his 20s was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the southeastern portion of the city Saturday afternoon, emergency officials said.

Emergency crews were called to the 4400 block of East William Cannon Drive just before 4 p.m., according the Austin-Travis County EMS officials. The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other adult victims involved in the crash who sustained minor injuries refused treatment, medics said. It's unclear what may have caused the collision to occur as no further details were released.

Officials asked motorists to avoid the area along East William Cannon Drive west of the intersection with South Pleasant Valley Road to accommodate investigators and as crews clear the scene in the aftermath of the collision.
