Man Points Gun To Off-Duty Cop's Head In South Austin Road Rage
Michael Christopher Tello, 21, exchanged words with another driver after near-collision, before pointing semi-automatic handgun at officer.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX — Succumbing to road rage is never a good idea. But pulling a gun on an off-duty police officer while in the throes of road rage is far worse.
That what Michael Christopher Tello, 21, is accused of having done in a recent incident reported by the Austin American-Statesman. Referencing an arrest affidavit, the newspaper reported that the off-duty officer was traveling north along South First Street on approach to Stassney Lane when Tello exited a store parking lot onto the former street — nearly causing a collision.
The two men exchanged heated words — as is standard behavior at road rage incidents — that included choice profanities from Tello, as details of the affidavit laid bare. The off-duty police officer later said Tello pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the officer's head, according to the document.
