Motorist Dies After Vehicle Strikes Pole In South Austin
The accident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. along the I-35 frontage road near St. Edwards University.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX -- A man died Saturday night after his pickup truck crashed into a pole on Interstate 35 service road, emergency officials said.
The accident occurred close to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 2700 block of South I-35 northbound, not far from St. Edwards University. The victim was a man in his 3os who was pronounced dead at the scene. Austin-Travis County EMS officials said.
There were no other injuries reported as a result of the accident. The man was the ony person inside the vehicle, officials said.
