Onion Creek Remains Identified as Teenage Murder Victim
Police believe the murder was linked to drug robberies committed by the victim.

SOUTH AUSTIN, TX - A body found badly decomposed near Onion Creek was determined to be a 16-year-old murder victim.
The body was identified as Darian Longoria, police said in a press conference. Police believe the murder was related to drug robberies carried out by the victim.
Longoria was reported missing by his mother on mother on Dec. 9.

The body was found near Onion Creek at the 5200 block of Bonneville Bendon on Jan. 3 by a father and son who were trying out a new metal detector they had gotten for Christmas.
Sources reportedly told police those involved in the murder thought Longoria had stolen drugs. Investigations have led police to another group of people who are suspected to have been involved in the robberies and need to talk with these individuals.

Police are urging anyone with information on Longoria’s death or the connected robberies to come forward.
“No matter what the young man was involved in he’s still a 16-year-old child. His family still deserves closure and he did not deserve to die in the manner that he did,” Lt. Justin Newsom said in the press conference.
